A lifelong curiosity. A considered collection.
Booij Arts specialises in fine art and rare objects by distinguished artists from the first half of the twentieth century, with a strong focus on René Lalique (1860–1945) and Pablo Picasso (1881–1973).
The collection includes glass and original jewellery by René Lalique, lithographs, ceramics, aquatints and linocuts by Pablo Picasso, and rare vintage photographs from 1900–1950. These artists pioneered work in small runs and editions, making distinctive pieces accessible to collectors today. The gallery also holds a small selection of period decorative objects and rare lighting, particularly designs by Jean Perzel (1892–1986).
Based in Amsterdam, the gallery exhibits works from its own collection and acts as an agent for international private clients and public institutions. Services include research and expertise, valuations and curatorial advice.
Dr. Lennart Booij (1970) holds a PhD in art history. He is the author of a book on the work of René Lalique, which can be ordered by contacting the gallery. Booij Arts also presents its collection at PAN Amsterdam and TEFAF Maastricht.
