A classic Lithograph ‘Atelier de Cannes’ by Picasso
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)
This very sought after lithograph was made for two artdealers, Gilbert et Serge, as cover for their book ‘Ces peintres, nos amis.’ It was published in 1960 and it is believed that the total edition was no more than 1000 examples. Not many survived in good condition since covers are vulnerable. This piece is well preserved in the 17 vivid colours Picasso choose to highlight his own atelier in Cannes with his wife Jacqueline sitting in the classic Thonet swing chair.
Dimensions: 44 x 32 cm.
