A beautiful and rare ‘Escargot’ vase by Lalique
R. Lalique (1860-1945)
This pristine Art Deco vase is a rare find since many examples never made the stores in the late twenties. Due to the fact that the foot had to be molded on the form when the glass was still hot, many pieces broke from heat differences or where broken later in the proces. This piece however made the retail store and was found in a French private collection. White glass with sepia patina. Signed with diamond script signature.
Height 22 cm.
